Questions I Hate NOT Having the Answer To

Questions I Hate NOT Having the Answer To

One question I hate not having the answer to is; How big is the universe? Why do I hate not having the answer to this? I hate not having the answer to this question because I want to know when it ends. It has to end sometime.I don't this that we will ever find the answer to this question because it take millions of light years to get to the next galaxy.

Why does Goofy stand up straight and Pluto stand on all fours? This is another question I don't like having an answer to. I don't like not having the answer to this question because it doesn't make sense. Both Goofy and Pluto are dogs, so why does Goofy stand up and Pluto stand on all fours. I'm not sure that we will ever know why this is because the creator of these characters is dead.

A third question I don't like not having the answer to is; If a tree falls in a forest and no one is around, does it make a sound? I don't like not having the answer to this because it's very difficult to figure out. We will never know what the answer to it is because if we tried to find out it wouldn't work because we were there. There is no possible way to figure this question out.

What connects us also keeps us apart

What Connects Us Also Keeps Us Apart

We are all connected but we are also separated. We are connected by atoms and everything around us. Those same atoms and things that connect us also keep us apart.

We are connected to the person across the room from us be the same atoms that connect us to the.person right next to us. But we are also not connected because we are not touching. It's kind of hard to understand but it also isn't.

What I See in Nature

What I See in Nature

Through my bedroom window I see My backyard. I see leaves starting to grow on trees, Flowers starting to bloom, a conch shell leaning against the fence, bushes becoming green and grass starting to grow. What elements of human creation do I see? Somethings I see are houses, a fence, garages, and a patio made of concrete.  Some little things I see are the wind chimes handing on the fence, the place leaning against the fence and a bird feeder.

Both nature and human creation come together to create a beautiful scene of my backyard. The beauty of nature creates an equal beauty that some human creations do not have. Nature may not look as beautiful now but as the days go by nature will come to it's full beauty.

Nature Memories

Nature Memories

When I was 6 I went to Florida with my family. It was during summer vacation in August of 2004. This was during Hurricane season there. 2004 was the year Hurricane Charley came. It was not a very fun experience. Even though we did not have as much damage as other areas, it was still bad. The part of Florida that were were staying in was Orlando.

What about this event made it stand out in my memory? The things that made this stand out in my memory were the trees blowing over, the strong winds and one big thing. The dome that was on top of the part of the hotel I was staying in blew off the roof and fell to the ground. Before we went out to see what it was we thought it could be a car or some other big object but we did not think it would be part of the roof. The emotions that were connected to this thing in nature were fear and shock.

The Ever Changing Seasons

The Ever Changing Seasons

Every three months a new season comes with it's unique temperatures and way of life. Spring is in the months March, April, and May. This season is the rebirth of all forms of nature. The flowers start to grow and blossom. The animals that hibernated or migrated during Winter come out of their den or migrate back to their summer homes. Spring is the time for the temperatures to start rising and the birds to start chirping. Summer, the season of hot temperatures. People go for swims and try to stay cool. Summer is the rise before the fall.

Fall is a season somewhat like Spring but a little colder. Leaves change color like the sky does in the morning and at night. Fall is the season that prepares you for what is to come in Winter. The season of Winter is the coldest. It lays a layer or more of snow that covers the earth like a white blanket covers s child. Winter is a time for building snowmen and having snowball fights. Every season is unique and can create fun in it's own way.

April Showers and Snow? Bring May Flowers

April Showers and Snow? Bring May Flowers

The first day of the week was nice, but there was some light rain. The rest of the week though, it was supposed to rain according to the weatherman. Tuesday the weatherman was right. It rained all day and was very cold. Wednesday, Thursday were all the same as Tuesday. Rainy and cold.

The weatherman also predicted SNOW. Snow of all things to predict in April. It's not even winter, it's spring. I didn't believe it. I thought it would just rain like the rest of the week did. But, the weatherman was right again. It snowed, in April, during the Spring season. How could this happen? I don't know. It just snowed.

Pilgrim at Tinker Creek

The purpose of this assignment is a reflection on nature. This is part of a school assignment as we read through Pilgrim at Thinker Creek by Annie Dillard.
